Jackie Chan is dead.
Wait. Before you rush off to purchase all the Jackie Chan paraphernalia available, it’s just a hoax. Again.
The mental martial artist is victim to a Facebook and Twitter hoax that claimed he died yesterday. Twitter sparked the hoax first and it soon spread to Facebook where a page called ‘RIP Jackie Chan’ was created that attracted over 67,000 followers.
Chan's representatives posted a message on the actor's official Facebook page to squash the rumours.
'Jackie Chan is alive and well and working on his next movie!,' the post read. 'Don't believe the latest death rumours’.

This is the second time that Chan died – supposedly. Back in March last year Chan's representatives had to deny on his Facebook page that he had passed away after suffering a heart attack. Twitter users, however, were quick to catch on that Chan’s death was about as real as Pamela Anderson’s breasts.
One user said: 'Why is everyone tryna [sic] kill Jackie Chan? this is like the 3rd time he's died.'
User GHTT said: 'RIP Jackie Chan who died last March and now in August. Stay tuned. He will probably die again by January.'
Jackie Chan is in ‘hoax heaven’ along with Hugh Hefner and Mick Jagger who have also been hit by a hoax on Twitter.
